Big Day: Steven and Emily

I had a blast photographing Steven and Emily’s wedding. First of all, I don’t think they could have planned for better weather… especially mid-August! Second, Emily and Steven are so great together, it was easy and fun to just be around them. Their first look took place near the Grotto at Notre Dame and watching them see each other for the first time was one of the highlights of the day for me. Their reactions were so authentic and full of love. The wedding itself took place at Church of Loretto at St. Mary’s College… one of my favorite churches in the area. The church is a circle and the seating goes around the alter, making everyone feel like participants in the celebration. The night ended at Tippecanoe Place (OMG’s neighbor!) for a night of beautiful toasts, delicious food, and sweet first dances.

I know I always end these write ups with a little thank you to the bride and groom for including me in their special day and I honestly mean it. My couples could have hired any photographer they wanted, but they chose me and for that I am so grateful. Being able to watch these amazing people on one the happiest days of their lives is something I do not take for granted. So, thank you once again, Emily and Steven. It was an honor and a privilege to document your day!
