I’m one very lucky girl.

Four years ago this month, I created OMG Photography. That summer, I had two weddings and, let me tell you, I was EXTREMELY nervous. While I had been working for another photographer for three years, those two weddings were the first where I was completely in charge. Everything would fall on me; my successes and my mistakes… what if I messed up someone’s wedding day?! That’s a lot of pressure for a 22 year old to take on!

However, like I said, I’m a lucky girl.

Ever since that first wedding on September 12, 2009, I have been blessed with amazing clients. My couples are why I love my job so much. I love getting to know them and spending time with them. I’ve never had a “bridezilla” (or groomzilla, for that matter). Even their families and bridal parties have been fun to work with. The couples I’ve photographed over the past four years are generous, loving, fun, and kind. They invite me to be a part of their wedding day and I don’t take that responsibility for granted. Which is why, I am always taken aback when I receive a handwritten thank you note or an email or a sweet comment on Facebook saying how much everyone likes my photos or how they couldn’t imagine having had anyone else photograph their wedding… it’s honestly humbling.

As OMG grows each year, I’m continually amazed by the people I get to meet and the friendships I get to form. This past year was no exception. I worked with fourteen truly awesome couples on their wedding days. Each one was as unique as the couple getting married and I loved working at every single one of them!

In addition to the fourteen weddings, I also shot two styled shoots that were later published. The first was a shoot I designed with Laura Stephens of LMR Design and was published on WeddingLovely.com. The second was styled and organized by the amazingly talented editors of Veils and Vows Magazine! I loved working with all of the amazing local vendors for both of these shoots and I am so proud that they have received so much positive attention.

So, as I’ve said, a lot of really great memories were made in 2012 and, lucky for me, it’s my job to capture them! Here are some of my favorite wedding photos from this past year. I really hope you enjoy looking at them as much as I enjoyed taking them!

Thank you to all of my 2012 Brides and Grooms! You guys make me love my job!
