Mike's Officer Commissioning Ceremony

Today I photographed my first ever Officer Commissioning Ceremony! It was pretty awesome and I am so thankful that Mike and his family asked me to be a part of it. The ceremony took place between the Notre Dame Basilica and The Golden Dome, in front of the “God, Country, Notre Dame” door. After the ceremony, Mike received his first salute from his grandfather. It’s tradition for the new officer to give a silver dollar to the first enlisted soldier who salutes them, so Mike then presented a silver dollar to his grandfather. After the ceremony was completed, we took a handful of group photos, including some of Mike with his EIGHT brothers and sisters! I’ve never seen parents so proud. Congratulations, Mike!
